Wedding Donations
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network offers a free “Wedding Kit” with tools to help couples bring a charitable focus to their wedding and honor a loved one who has been touched by pancreatic cancer.
“I lost my dad to pancreatic cancer when I was in college. When I started planning my wedding several years later, it was bittersweet to plan the special day knowing that he wouldn't be a part of the celebration. Then I learned about the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and its advocacy efforts to lobby the federal government for increased funding of pancreatic cancer research. There isn't much information about this terrible disease, and since one of my parents was affected, I knew I could potentially be at risk, too. Asking guests to make a donation to help fight pancreatic cancer through the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network was a way for both my family and my guests to honor my dad.”
